Rielingerhof farm is located on the Ritten plateau in a secluded spot at 750 metres above sea level. "We take care to farm with a closed cycle ethos and engage in natural wine production," states the farmer, Matthias, about his production methods. The farm is also an inn serving its own wine and hosts farm holiday guests.
This is especially true of a glass of wine bearing the ‘Red Rooster’ trademark. Own-produced grapes of the highest quality as well as careful processing on the farm guarantee a uniquely enjoyable effect on the palate. South Tyrol’s sunshine and clear mountain air lend the grapes their special aroma. It’s good that the origin of the grapes – straight from the farm – plays such a crucial role at ‘Red Rooster’. The farmers take the processing of grapes seriously, as well as taking care to get rid of any grasses and weeds around the vines using mechanical means. A board of experts then tests the sensory quality of the wine.
