In Iman sports centre in the village centre, there is a stable made of wood with life-size figures. Mary and Baby Jesus were the first to be created in the 1980s and were displayed in the church during Advent. Gradually, various artists from Gröden produced more figures and added them to the scene. And nearly 30 years later, new sculptures are still being added to it.
The old church of St. Christina
The parish church of St. Christina is likewise worth a visit: the oldest church in Gröden was mentioned in a papal letter of indulgence as far back as 1342, but just the bell tower going as far as the edge of the roof remains of the Romanesque church. It owes its current form to several conversions and extensions. The high altar, built in the workshop of the famous Vinatzer sculptor family in 1690, is worth a look.
The residential castle of Gröden
Those feeling nostalgic for past times will be able to go on a trip from their holiday flat or room in St. Christina to Fischburg castle between Wolkenstein and St. Christina. This monumental building from the Renaissance served as a summer and winter residence and accordingly contains more hunting equipment than weapons. Plenty of fishing accessories were found here, which is not surprising, as the castle is well known for being near lots of fishing lakes. Nowadays, it is in the hands of a family from Venice, who have had it renovated from top to bottom.

Anyone preferring to take things a little easy can walk to Tervela waterfall. A fascinating natural spectacle takes place here near the village centre in summer, when water coming from a source on Langkofel mountain plunges at first 35 metres and then 12 metres downwards. This waterfall is an insider tip for ice climbers in winter. A trip here may be combined with 'Raida dl Luech' circular village walk, which runs along former railway tracks past lots of sights.
