Criteria
The following criteria have to be observed in order for a farm to carry the description of ‚farm with facilities for the disabled’:
- Entrances with ramps, for independent and problem-free access by wheelchair users
- Parking areas on the flat, near the entrance to the farm
- Gradient of paths max. 8%
- No holes, grooves and ditches limiting freedom of movement
- Wide corridors and doors, non-slip surfaces and furniture suitable for use by disabled people
- Light switches, sockets and telephones within easy reach
- Heating can be turned up to 2-3°C above room temperature
- Sufficient room for manoeuvre alongside beds and suitable cooking facilities in holiday flats
- Sanitary facilities suitable for use by disabled people
