‘Krapfen‘ fritters

ingredients

Ingredients (for 4 persons):
1 - 2 tbsp butter
220 g wheat flour
1/10 l milk
180 g rye flour
salt
1 egg
jam
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp cream
oil for frying

preparation

Knead different types of flour with the egg, cream, butter, oil, milk and salt to form a dough. Knead through once more and shape oval leaves. Fill with jam (chestnut, plum, apricot), fold together lengthways, press edges together and cut out with a pastry wheel. Fry in hot oil on both sides until golden brown, drain on kitchen towel and serve hot.
