ingredients

for 4 persons
100 ml milk
4 free-range eggs
200 g kamut flour
1 schnaps glass of rum
1 pinch salt
50 g sugar
1 tspn cinnamon
16 slices of sweet plaited loaf
jam of choice
peanut oil for frying
1 packet vanilla sugar
seasonal fruit

preparation

Stir together milk, egg yolk, flour and rum. Beat the egg white with the salt until stiff and carefully fold into mixture. Mix the sugar with the cinnamon and add. Spread jam onto slices of plaited loaf, put pieces together in twos, dunk in the dough and fry in peanut oil on both sides until light brown. Drain well and roll in vanilla sugar while still warm. Serve with fresh fruit.
