A superlative-class light athletics festival awaits both competitors and spectators at the
traditional 'Boclassic' race to see out the old year. The 1250 metre-long circuit winds through the town’s medieval centre and must be covered eight times by male competitors and four times by the women. The race starts and finishes in the main square,
the Piazza Walther/Walther-Platz.
The Boclassic has long been regarded as the most prestigious New Year’s Eve race worldwide.
Everybody can join in the 'Südtirol hilft Charity Run' or the 'Ladurner Volkslauf' race following the same route through the picturesque streets, lanes and squares of South Tyrol’s capital and measure themselves against the world’s absolute top athletes. In addition to the 'Südtirol hilft Charity Run' and the 'Ladurner Volkslauf' event the programme includes the races for the coveted Raiffeisen Youth Cup for children and youngsters aged 10 to 17 can take part. As every year the climax will be the international race for women and men.
