South Tyrol’s farms are quite simply a treat for the tastebuds. ’DelikatESSEN’ products from local farms received official confirmation of this at three major competitions and product tastings.

Distilleries on ’Red Rooster’ farms bagged 13 medals at ’Destillata’, the international noble brandies championships in Vienna. Günther Tappeiner from Ausserloretzhof in Laas received distinction against a field of participants from Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Sweden, Switzerland, the Slovak Republic, the Netherlands, Australia, Argentinia, New Zealand and Thailand. He was voted into the ‚Destillata Circle’, which includes the 12 best distillers on the international scene.

Distillates from the distilleries of Fischerhof and Ausserloretzhof, along with apple juice from Obsthof Troidner, won lots of awards at the international ’Ab Hof’ trade fair in Wieselberg, Austria.

At the ’Mostbarkeiten’ international trade fair for farm-produced must, juice and noble brandies, South Tyrol’s direct marketers were not only awarded medals, but both Thomas Kohl from Obsthof Troidner in Unterinn and Hansjörg Weis from the Plonhof farm won national prizes for their mountain apple juice with raspberries and Gewürztraminer distillate respectively.
