farm reviews

A great experience we would not hesitate to recommend further

We – a family of three, of which one member is 1,5 years old – have spent one week in Oberniederhof and had such a great time that we are willing to repeat this experience as soon as possible, and would not hesitate to recommend it further.
Familie Tappeiner has been very kind and available to satisfy our various requests. We got a very interesting visit, which gave us the chance to see how a farm works, and imagine how life could have been there in the past. Our daughter enjoyed a lot seeing where milk "really comes from" and had her life-experience in caressing a chick.
The apartment - i.e. house 1290 AD - is comfortable and clean. When temperature outside dropped a bit, coming back from a day trip we found the fire lit and the traditional wood stove heating up the "Stube", where we spent many a dinner enjoying the relaxing atmosphere.
We relished the farm''s products, like fresh milk, eggs, and the tasty chees we paired with a really good regional white wine, all of which we acquired at the farm''s shop. Further, we have harvested vegetables directly from the garden, an activity our daughter liked a lot!
The farm''s position is also ideal, whether you like to relax exploiting the valley’s quietness, do an easy family hike or a more demanding trek, every option is at hand. Paths traverse breath-taking landscapes, not to mention the historical sites (dating back to the time the famous mummy Ötzi lived, i.e. more than 5000 years ago). Thanks for the great time we had!
