With its winding pass roads, wide valley bottoms and panoramic Alpine paths, South Tyrol is a true paradise for cyclists. Whether on a racing bike, mountain bike or e-bike, every corner of the country is just waiting to be discovered while cycling.

The diverse landscape and the mild temperatures in South Tyrol offer the ideal conditions for varied bike tours from spring to late autumn. The most beautiful routes through sun-drenched valleys and past tranquil villages can be found along the well-developed network of cycle paths. Connoisseurs can choose from the cycle path in the Etschtal valley between Meran and Bolzano to the Drau Cycle Path in Hochpustertal. The Via Claudia Augusta, an old Roman path that leads from the Reschenpass via Vinschgau to the Adriatic Sea, is also well known.

Discover South Tyrol
South Tyrol's mountain landscape is ideal for exploring on two wheels. The most exciting mountain bike tours run on lonely forest paths and paved forest roads. They lead you to vantage points in the middle of the Alps. Mountain bikers can really let off steam and let their passion run wild on impressive mountain ridges and wide high plateaus. Challenging trails with technically demanding descents through dense forests await adrenaline junkies. If you prefer to take it easy when cycling, jump on an e-bike and enjoy the views of the impressive surroundings.

On the trail of the Giro d'Italia
Sweat-inducing climbs, imposing pass roads and rapid descents: the racing bike is the best companion for mastering South Tyrol's roads with pure muscle power. 48 hairpin bends lead racing cyclists up to the famous Stilfserjoch Pass in the Ortler mountains. On the Sellaronda, those who are particularly tenacious climb four Dolomite passes and see the breathtaking rock formations up close. All those who prefer to cycle on flat routes will find kilometres of tours in the valley floor, which make the hearts of racing cyclists beat faster. The route along the South Tyrolean Wine Road to Lake Garda is particularly popular.

Stage destination farm
After a long bike ride, the best place to relax is on a holiday farm. In the comfortable accommodation, cycling enthusiasts can recharge their batteries for the next stage. The apartments and rooms are comfortable and equipped with many natural materials. A hearty breakfast with many of the farm's own products provides the necessary energy so that you can pedal vigorously again. If you don't have a bike with you, you don't have to miss out on the fun. Many farms offer free bike hire. The farm family will be happy to tell you the best insider tips for worthwhile bike trips. And that's not all! Some farms have specialised in cycling holidaymakers and offer weekly guided bike tours.
