A Farm Holiday in St. Felix: a place to relax and unwind
St. Felix enjoys a quiet, idyllic and sunny spot in the middle of larch woodland at 1,265 metres above sea level. The village was called 'Caseid' until the start of the 19th centry, meaning little house or settlement. A holiday in St. Felix will involve impressive meetings with gems of the native plant world and culture. Attractions include the Gothic church in the village centre and lots of small chapels scattered around the village. The precious frescoes in St. Christoph's church from 1500 should not be missed and there are lots of hikes around the village starting right out outside the door when staying at a holiday flat in St. Felix.

Felixer Weiher beauty spot and 'Triassic Parc'
Felixer Weiher lake is one of the most beautiful woodland lakes in South Tyrol. It is perfect for swimming, fishing and relaxing. A small island rises out of the centre of the sparkling green water. A walk to the lake starts at Klammeben car park above St. Felix, just a few minutes from the Gampenpass road. Several paths lead to the lake, going through larch woodland and across mountain pastures with countless butterflies. The walk may be extended by going around the lake or carrying on to Felix Alm pasture. A trip to see the waterfall definitely belongs to a Farm Holiday in St. Felix. Water cascades 75 metres downwards and the walk is particularly refreshing during the height of summer, going through woodland, meadows and clearings. Families with children can follow the traces of dinosaurs on Deutschnonsberg. Millions of years ago, this area was an island, probably fringed with lagoons. In 1997, traces of primitive giants were discovered on the Gampenpass. On the 'Triassic Parc' trail, clear prints of these prehistoric reptiles may be seen in the rocks along the way.
