Vacation in Meran and surroundings

Charming spa town enjoying a mild climate!

You can even find palm trees here! Meran and the surrounding snow-covered Texel mountains was home to the European nobility 150 years ago. The Empress of Austria, Sisi, helped to make the ‚grape cure‘ and excursions into the jagged surrounding mountains fashionable.
Today, like many years ago, visitors marvel at the sub-tropical banana plants as they stroll along the picturesque promenades. It is not only the climate in this vine-growing area that makes for a relaxing holiday: places like Schenna and Dorf Tirol offer fantastic views, the side valleys are refreshingly cool in summer and the mountain peaks rise challengingly up against the clear blue sky.

It is a region full of variety: strolling in mediterranean temperatures in Meran, taking a restin ancient mountain guesthouses after breath-taking walks or enjoying winter sports such as skiing or snowboarding on the Schnalstal glacier.
