Open from September to December from 12.00 to 24.00 every day. From beginning of March to end of May, from Friday to Sunday open from 12.00. Orders required in advance.

Description

All those keen on nature and good home cooking should pay a visit to the Winklerhof farm in St. Moritz in Villanders. Guests can take a seat in a choice of two cosy farm parlours and taste characteristic Eisack valley dishes prepared by the Fink family. Frau Fink’s ‘Schlutzer’ (spinach ravioli) are well known in gourmet circles.

Food and drink

Speck, cheese, chimney-smoked sausage, cheese dumplings, spinach ravioli, spinach dumplings. On request: barley soup, meat cuts with cabbage and dumplings, apple and assorted sweet pastries. Juices: apple, blackcurrant, elderflower, raspberry, grape.

Our vines

The house white wine is a cuvee of Sylvaner and Müller-Thurgau with pleasantly delicate fruit and characteristic fresh acidity. The 2010 Vernatsch displays an attractive colour, a mild bouquet with hints of marzipan and cherry, as well as tannins that are easy on the palate. The 2010 Pinot Noir is likewise very harmonious and somewhat more aromatic. The 2010 Portugieser features distinct tannins and delicate aftertaste.

To go by car

Turn right off the Klausen/Chiusa to Waidbruck/Ponte Gardena road at the 'Kalchgruber' trading estate and take the road to the hamlet of St. Moritz for about 2 km.

To hoof

From Villanders/Villandro, take path 14 (30 minutes) and from Klausen/Chiusa, paths 4 and 15 and the Chestnut Trail path 16 to the 'Winklerhof' farm (75 minutes). Or, starting at the farm, take path 17 to Barbian/Barbiano (1.5 hours) or Dreikirchen (1.5
