Description
The Villscheiderhof inn is ideally positioned along the well-known Chestnut Trail and looks out over Brixen, the seat of the local bishop. The Hilpold family are looking forward to treating you to tasty dishes and excellent wines in their newly built farmhouse parlour or on the terrace.
Food and drink
Home-made bread, 'Kaminwurzen' smoked sausages, Speck, boiled new potatoes, marinated beef, various soups and dumplings, 'Schlutzer' spinach ravioli, fried eggs with Speck, 'Krapfen' sweet pastries, 'Kaiserschmarrn' sweet omelettes. In autumn barley soup, meat cuts and sauerkraut, home-made sausage, chestnuts. In spring 'Sauere Suppe' savoury soup, game ragout ravioli, various cakes. 'Erdäpfelblattlen' fried potato pancakes with cabbage, 'Tirtlen' fritters, spare ribs, goulash, roast pork, beef, game or lamb on order. Juices: apple, blackcurrant and mint.

The 2010 Sylvaner with its stimulating acidity and balanced body. The 2010 Gewürztraminer is characteristically floral. The 2010 Zweigelt appeals thanks to its fruitiness, displaying its character in its granular tannins when drunk, and features lively acidity. The pleasant and formidable 2009 Gewürztrmainer passito with its honey and candied fruit bouquet and unending aftertaste.
