Opening times
Open from mid-March to the beginning of June and from 8th September to the 3rd December. Open in spring on Fridays from 5.00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from midday. Mondays to Thursdays only to advance booking. Open in autumn from Tuesdays to Fridays from 5.00 pm, from midday on Saturdays and Sundays. Closed Mondays.

Description
The Villscheiderhof inn is ideally positioned along the well-known Chestnut Trail and looks out over Brixen, the seat of the local bishop. The Hilpold family are looking forward to treating you to tasty dishes and excellent wines in their farmhouse parlour or on the terrace.
Food and drink
Home-made bread, ‘kaminwurzen’ smoked sausage, speck, boiled new potatoes, marinated beef, a variety of soups and dumplings, ‘schlutzer’ ravioli, ‘krapfen’ pastries. In autumn, barley soup, meat cuts with sauerkraut, house sausage, chestnuts. In spring, alternating, tripe soup, ‘erdäpfelblattlen’ potato pastries with cabbabe, ‘tirtlen’ savoury pastries, ‘bauerngröstl’ sauté meat and potatoes, game dishes, roast beef, pork or lamb, home-made cakes. Juices: apple, blackcurrant and mint.
Our vines
Sylvaner ‘16 má typickou jablečnou vůni, v ústech se prezentuje teple, silně a výbornou délkou. Kerner ‘16 má decentní jablečné tóny a jemné citrusové aroma. Portugieser ‘16 voní typicky po třešních s náznaky červených bobulí. Zweigelt ‘15 je rovněž vínem s charakterem. V ústech si lze všimnout kyselinky a příjemně trpké třísloviny.
To go by car
Coming from Bozen/Bolzano, turn left at the forth roundabout at Brixen/Bressanone, passing the 'Kinderdorf' village in the Untereben direction. After about 1.5 km you will find the 'Villscheiderhof'.
To hoof
From Vahrn taking the 'Keschtnweg' path or path number 20 (1.5 hours). From the railway station via path number 20 to Pinzagen, then taking the 'Keschtnweg' to St. Cyrill and then down towards Brixen (1.5 hours).
