Description
Tschurtschenthalerhof farm looks down and across the valley from an altitude of 1,660 metres above sea level. It is by far the highest farm around. Just opposite it, the hands of the ‘Sextner Sundial’, as the jagged Dolomite peaks are known, reach for the sky: the ‘Neuner’, ‘Elfer’, ‘Zwölfer’, ‘Einser’ and the Rotwand peak. The Tschurtschenthalers, a farming family going back 700 years, have their roots here. The farm, one of the oldest hereditary farms in the area, contains a rare display of agricultural instruments, which the farmers have been collecting for generations. These are discreetly on show in the farm parlour and hall. The farm also takes Farm Holiday guests.
