Description

At the Schnalshuberhof nature calls the shots: outside, amidst the Oberplars vineyards and orchards or under the vines, and inside, in the dining rooms of the organic farm, which enjoy listed building status - you can feel the special atmosphere everywhere. You can take a trip back in time in the 'newspaper room' - a real attraction, where you can read the newspapers of yesteryear on the walls.

Food and drink

Spinach ravioli, various dumplings, Speck, smoked sausage, cheese. On request gnocchi, spare ribs, roast veal. In autumn house sausage with cabbage, damson dumplings. Juices: apple, blackcurrant, elderflower, lemon balm and peppermint.

Our vines

The 2011 Fraueler has a discreet aroma, yet a caressingly soft acidity. The 2011 pinot bianco has an appealing and pleasantly fresh taste. The 2011 red wine mainly consists of Vernatsch grapes. It has a luminous hue and is pleasantly aromatic and harmonious. The 2010 pinot noir has distinctive berry fruit notes and its fullness is complemented by pleasantly mature tannins and a lasting finish. The2009 fungus-resistant wine from Chambourcin grapes has ripe fruity notes and discreet fullness. The 2011 blend of Cabernet-Merlot and Prior displays spiciness and finesse.

From Töll, go in the direction of Oberplars. At Oberplars, turn right at the Wiedmair guesthouse and right again after 30 m. The farm is on the left side.

To hoof

The 'Schnalshuberhof' is situated in the centre of Oberplars - 100 m from the Waalweg path at Algund.
