Description

Arrive and take in the scenery around you – the Rauthof will thrill you with its fantastic views across the valley basin of Meran and tempting aromas from the kitchen. Guests will particularly enjoy getting a peek from the veranda at what’s cooking in the open-plan kitchen. Those not wanting to spoil the surprise can relax in the cosy farm parlour or on the sunny terrace and enjoy dishes made from fresh, home-grown produce.

Food and drink

Home-made sausages, Speck, veal, beef, home-made pastries, various cakes and apple strudel. On the weekend or to order, roast lamb and spare ribs. In the spring, dumpling trio with cress and dandelion. In autumn, barley soup, house sausage with cabbage, meat cuts, chestnuts. Juices: elderflower, apple and pear.

Our vines

The 2010 Goldmuskateller has a characteristic aroma and elegant acidity. The 2010 Gewürztraminer has a rose bouquet and is pleasantly balanced in taste. The ruby-red 2010 Vernatsch is nicely aromatic and has a pleasantly mild taste. The 2010 Pinot Noir has a delicate berry fruit bouquet and is still youthful when drunk. The 2010 Lagrein is a nice wine with a complexly floral nose and spirited tannic structure.

To go by car

From the Mebo (Meran/Bozen express road) exit at Meran-Süd, drive in the direction of Meran. Turn right in the direction of Schenna at the second roundabout and turn off right after 800 m. in the Freiberg direction. The farm is situated on the left-hand side after about 2 km.

To hoof

From Sinich above Gasthof Förstler on path 2 via the Mitterwalderhof in the direction of Schloss Katzenstein (60 mins). From Schloss Trauttmansdorff (bus and carpark) in the direction of Freiberg (60 mins.).
