Description

The Pschnickerhof, with its unpronounciable name, offers some real treats for your tastebuds. Situated in the hamlet of St. Moritz, amid chestnut groves and vineyards, it boasts a cosy farm parlour with a characteristic tiled oven - perfect for tasting the delicious specialities of the village of Villanders.

Food and drink

Cheese, Speck, ‘Kaminwurzen’ (chimney smoked sausage), boiled potatoes, ‘Schlutzer’ (spinach ravioli), cheese, spinach and speck dumplings. Spare ribs, lamb with sautéed potatoes or dumplings and sweet ‘Krapfen’(fried pastries) on advance request. ‘Grünen Zaache’ (fried spinach and potato pasties) are the house speciality. In autumn, house sausage with cabbage, barley soup, potato soup, spinach and potato soup, cold cuts platter with cabbage, ‘Erdäpfelblattlen’ (fried potato pasties), chestnuts, nuts. In spring, asparagus with ham, ’Krapfen’ savoury fried pastries with chicory filling, roast beef, various cakes. Juices: elderflower, raspberry, red currant and apple.

Our vines

The 2010 red wine from Portugieser and Zweigelt grapes has a dark cherry red hue and fruity nose reminiscent of cherry and red berry fruit. It has an intensive to full-bodied taste and is very harmonious with good length. The characteristically fruity 2010 Zweigelt is deep red in hue with shades of violet.

To go by car
