Description
On the way from the village of Klobenstein to the Rittner Horn mountain is the Oberpfaffstaller farm at 1,300 metres above sea level. There are magnificent views of South Tyrol’s mountains from the sheltered sun terrace and in the colder months the small farm parlour is the perfect place to get warm and enjoy delicious food.
Food and drink
Speck, ’Kaminwurzen’ (smoked sausage), cheese, various soups, trio of gnocchi, sautéd potatoes with Speck and eggs, home-made buckwheat tagliatelle with Speck and leeks, ’Bauerngröstl’ (sautéd potatoes with meat, herbs, eggs and spices), omelettes, various desserts and cakes. In spring and summer: salads, beef salad, vegetable dumplings, strawberry dumplings, lamb. In autumn to advance order ’Erdäpfelblattlen’ (fried potato pasties) with cabbage, ’Schlutzer’ (spinach ravioli), hot and cold meat cuts, home-made ’Krapfen’ (sweet fried pastries). On Sundays roast pork or beef. Juices: elderflower, raspberry, peppermint and lemon balm.
