Opening times
Open from 20th September to 30th November from 12.00 every day. Booking recommended. From 1st to 20th December and from beginning of January to end of March only open on request.
Description
Both panelled farmhouse parlours at the Larm Hof farm have been home to generations of farmers. Today it is the guests at this hereditary farm in the idyllic hamlet of St. Moritz who bring them to life. The Eisack valley’s farmhouse fare is also in keeping with tradition. The sun terrace provides the perfect setting for guests to relax and unwind on warm autumn days and appreciate the delicious farm delicacies. The new farm shop is another attraction.
Food and drink
Speck, cheese, sour Graukäse, barley soup and spinach ravioli, house sausage with cabbage, various fritters. In autumn chestnuts and nuts. On request also sour soup, Speck dumplings, roast spare ribs or meat cuts with cabbage and dumplings or pancakes. On Sunday potato cakes with cabbage. Juices: apple, raspberry and elderflower.
Our vines
The 2014 Müller Thurgau is reminiscent in aroma of apple and citrus fruit with spicy nutmeg blossom. It is fresh and has animating acidity and spice typical for its varietal on the palate. The 2014 Vernatsch is reminiscent of crunchy cherries and tastes lightly fruity, with velvety tannins and juicy acidity. The 2014 Zweigelt is deep red with fruity notes of sour cherry and damson supported on the palate by substantial spice and structured tannins.
To go by car
On the Klausen/Chiusa to Waidbruck/Ponte Gardena road, turn right at the 'Kalchgruber' trading estate at Villanders and take the road for about 2 km to the hamlet of St. Moritz.
To hoof
From Klausen/Chiusa, path 4 and 15 and the Chestnut Trail 16 go to the 'Larm-Hof' (about 1 hour and 15 minutes) or from the 'Buschenschank' via path 17 to Barbian/Barbiano (1.5 hours) or to Dreikirchen (1.5 hours).
