The Huberhof farm lies above the Brixen valley basin in the idyllic hamlet of Elvas. The farm family has converted their 18th century cowshed into an inviting inn, where guests can enjoy the best of the Eisack valley’s culinary fare. The farm also takes Farm Holiday guests.

Speck, cheese, ‘Kaminwurzen’ (chimney smoked sausage), brawn, buckwheat, beetroot, spinach and cheese dumplings, ‘Schlutzer’ (spinach ravioli), ‘Erdäpfelblattlen’ (fried potato pasties) with cabbage, calf lung, house sausage, spare ribs, ‘Surfleisch’ (cured meat), game. The 2010 Kerner has turned out well with its full body, pleasantly warming alcohol and fresh acidity making it into a good opening wine. The 2010 blend of Portugieser and Zweigelt grapes is uncomplicated and its barely there tannins make it a good accompaniment to meals. The 2010 Zweigelt is substantial and its noticeable tannins give it structure as well as aging potential.
