Description

Nestling amidst lush meadows and woodland between Mittelberg and Lengstein is the tidy Haidgerberhof farm. Maria will dish up some real treats for your tastebuds in the ‘Hexenbodenkuchl’, so named after the legendary ‘Hexenbödele’ (witches’ gathering place) near the farm. Yet, it is the culinary fare, not witchcraft, that entrances the guests as soon as they have finished taking in the fantastic views. The farm also takes Farm Holiday guests.

Food and drink

Home-made bread, Speck, cheese or farmhouse toasted sandwiches, spinach ravioli, variations on speck, spinach, mushroom, liver and cheese dumplings, spinach 'Spaetzle', braised mutton, lamb shanks, spare ribs or a selection of meat; there's game if you order in advance. Fried sweet pastries, apple strudel and an assortment of cakes. Fruit juices include elderflower, raspberry, blackcurrant and apple.

To go by car

Take to road from Bozen to Klobenstein and carry on in the direction of Lengstein. Turn left after the bridge over the Köblbach stream into a steep tarmaced road. The Haidgerberhof is 200m along the road. From the Klausen direction you come via Barbian.

To hoof

From Klobenstein to Lengmoos via the Erdpyramidenweg to Maria Saal, go past the chapel over the station road down to Köblbach, turn left after the bridge in the direction of 'Hexenbödele'; the farm inn is situated 200m down the road (1.5 hours).
