Weingut Köfelgut in Kastelbell-Tschars

The Köfelgut wine farm, owned by the Pohl family since 1786, is situated at 600m above sea level on the steep slopes of the Vinschgau Sonnenberg and enjoys one of the best locations in the west of the region. Its main aim is to produce natural, typical high quality wine. The dry alpine climate and the warm, porous prehistoric slate soil have proved to provide optimal conditions for this. Besides the wine cellar, there is also a schnaps distillery on the farm, which produces select spirits. A small area is also given over to growing asparagus.
