Mountain farm breeding old, native working animals breeds
Dieser Betrieb hat sich auf cattle farming, farm arts and crafts spezialisiert.
The farm
The Innerroggenhof, situated at 1,300 m above sea level, on the sunny slopes of Sexten, is a kind of Noah's Ark farm for South Tyrol - a breeding and presentation place for old and endangered working animals (recognised by VEGH, the Association for the Upkeep of Endangered Domestic Animals, Austria). The Innerroggenhof is additionally a certified educational farm (Farm School). The animals kept here are living cultural treasures that used to shape the local landscape not too long ago but were threatened by the arrival of modern high performance animal breeds. In summer most of these animals graze on the mountain pasture.
