Hof am Orth in Kurtatsch a. d. Weinstraße

Hof am Orth farm is in the wine village of Kurtatsch in the South Tyrolean Unterland. It is thanks to the Schweiggl family's commitment, endurance and passion, that there is today such a large and extensive private museum of farm culture in South Tyrol. There are over 2,000 exhibits from 10,000 years of documented history in this typical 15th century farmhouse on display in the museum. Subjects include: from flint blades to reaping and binding machines, from cereal to bread, cattle and dairy farming, thread-making and textile production, arts and crafts, wine farming, fruit farming, plant protection, transport and mechanisation, kitchens, popular religion etc.
