Erlebnishof Kaserhof in Ritten

The Kaserhof farm, one of the highest altitude stud farms in Europe (1,320m), breeds llamas, alpacas, pedigree arab horses and a few highland cattle. The llama breeding activity is one of the biggest and most successful in the whole of Italy. Lots of llamas belonging to the Mair family are awarded best of breed prizes at shows. The animals are not bred for meat production but as a hobby and llama treks are held in summer. The farm's enormous riding hall and stable, housing 25 pedigree arab horses, are particularly impressive. Farm Holidays are also offered at the farm and the farm eatery has traditional dishes on the menu.
